No Sew Stitches at CASology

Good Tuesday morning! CASology has your creativity cue card for this week: STITCH.
Keeping line with the CAS ideology- I went totally no sew on my card.

I've been waiting to play with these Simon Says Stamp "Spring Flowers" stamps. I love that
they already have stitch lines in the stamp! All I had to do was color them with my Copics,
add a border to my cardusing my Signo white gel pen and punch up the detail on the flowers
by doing the same. The sentiment is from Concord and 9th's "Love You Mean It" stamp set.

You're going to be inspired by the DT this week! Be sure to swing by to show them some love!

Create It Wednesday ~ {You're All That!} & Giveaway!

I couldn't let this new release pass without a little stamp surgery to mix it up and demonstrate how truly versatile the {Totally} stamp set is when crafting!

One of the joys of using clear stamps is that you can cut them apart....don't have a heart attack on me just yet...because they stick back together (not permanently of course) super easily. Hop over to the Precious Remembrance Shop blog for the details on how I made this card!

Come Have Some FUN with CASology

I hope you're ready to have a little FUN this week with CASology!!
You got it- the cue card this week:

I just couldn't resist, he he he :)

I used a stencil and various inks to create the background-Vintage Photo for the dirt, Cracked Pistachio for the grass, and Tumbled Glass for the sky. I colored these two little guys with Copics and my sentiment is handwritten...it seemed to fit with the sketchy art style of the stamps.

Looking forward to dropping my card in snail mail for a FUN-guy.

Check out how the DT played with the cue card this week! We've got lots of inspiration for you.

Clique Kits and Precious Remembrance Shop Blog Hop

Thanks for hopping over to my blog for this amazing whirlwind of creativity
and inspiration as the Design Teams of Clique Kits and Precious Remembrance Shops
team up to bring you a collabo of the August CK Scrapbook Kit and
the newly released PRS Totally Stamp Set!

If you're following along in the blog hop, you should have arrived here
from the lovely and talented Judy Marino.

It's my first time receiving a scrapbook kit from CK and I was like a kid at Christmas.
I absolutely cannot stress enough how much crafty goodness comes in these CK kits!
I'm sharing two projects today, but there are lots more spinning in my head
with all of the supplies I still have leftover. And believe me when I say the Totally
Stamp Set is a fab set to pair with almost any project--keep scrolling :)

My first project is a scrapbook page. This is my "mommie & me" on
our first trip to Paris. She's so awesome...so is Paris :)

I'm swooning over all these touches of gold!

I stamped the "me/you/us" from the stamp set and circled the "us" using a gold glitter pen
and a hot pink Sharpie--these stamps work with everything!

Look how awesome that sentiment came out all embossed in hot pink embossing powder.
I adore these bold sentiments!

My second project is a 5"x7" mat board canvas. This is my "baby brother".
And yeah, well, he's totally stinking awesome.

I used embossing powder (orange, white, and yellow) to  enhance this card
from the CK kit....how fab is that sentiment?!
I really think the stars, brush stroke, and border stamps add a little punch.
 .

Dream On with CASology

Dream on. Dream away...ok, no more song lyrics :)
How about a really fun cue card from CASology for this week's challenge instead??

Here's my interpretation...well, maybe my doggies' interpretation.

I finally got my "Crazy Dogs" stamp set and had to use it! I colored everything using Prismacolor pencils. The bubbles with his treats are actually the "chat bubbles" dies from Penny Black, but I scissored off the tails and ran a black Pitt Big Brush pen around the outside of the die cuts to frame the treats. Great way to repurpose those die cuts!

Here's a quick pic of my little ones...you can go ahead and say awwwww ;)

You've got to see how the DT worked the cue card this week! We've got lots of inspiration for you.

Seeing Things at CASology

It's that time of the week and CASology will have you spinning in circles ;)
The cue card this week is: DIZZY.
Due to my movie addiction, I knew exactly the direction I wanted to go with my card!

This is how I feel watching 3D movies lol! I think it's because the glasses never fit just right of my regular eyeglasses. Anyway...this was super easy to make too and a great CAS card for a guy! The font is a stamp set that I've had FOREVER from Technique Tuesday. I used Candied Apple, Faded Jeans, and black Versamark inks to do my stamping. Easy peasy :)

The DT has some great inspirations for you this week too! Be sure to check them out and our Guest Designer and show some love. And we'd love to thank our sponsor for this week's winning entry, Uniko Studio!

Watercolor for the Win (CASology)

This week we're using one of my favorite mediums as our
cue card at CASology: WATERCOLOR.

I wanted to use the cue card 2 ways-- actually whipping out my watercolor paints to color some water. And what's better in water than fish?! These are some digi stamps from the uber fun line of Vera Lane Studio called Oceans 11. I could color these guys for days! I paired them with a sentiment from Precious Remembrance Shops New Day stamp set.

Crafty tip for digi stamps and Copics or wet mediums:
I have an ink jet printer, so I've learned that it could take hours for the ink to dry when I print digi stamps; even after that, I would get bleeding if I used wet mediums or my Copic markers. To solve the problem:
1- Reduce the amount of ink that prints using my printer settings.
2- With an old (or craft) iron, turn it on high with no steam and iron the back of the paper after printing. This really sets the ink in a couple minutes...problem solved.
Be mindful that the type of paper and printer may have variable results, but this works for me every time.

Time to swim over to check out the other DT members creations this week.
And show some love to this week's sponsor, Craft Classes Online, and our Guest Designer!
